Course Description
The course introduces you to the world of Spatial Analysis in ArcGIS.
Point Density is one of the most common types of analysis to understand the concentration of information in a certain area. Also we start to understand the cell and pixel size of the raster. The raster calculator help us make a difference between the values of pixels in one cell and another. From there we are able to convert this zones into Vectors.
The use of reclassification can help us to get specific values that help us further any research with the appropriate data. In this exercise we're given the challenge to find the areas that are better suited to plant an specific type of fruit based on it's elevation and slope terrain.
You will study functions that help us make numerical combinations of diverse properties in raster datasets, extraction with mathematical functions of the Spatial Analyst tool and analysis of elevation and water flow in a DEM file. With the slope and flow accumulation we'll extract the rivers of the zone

What will you learn?
-
How to install and operate Geoserver
-
Serve vector, raster, and attribute data on the Internet with Geoserver
-
Set up Geoserver so that it operates like a cloud-based spatial data server
-
Create an application that allows clients and a server to interact with data and users over the internet
-
How to broker the relationship between the Internet user and the back-end server. When you learn this, you'll be able to adapt just about any client/server application
-
Load spatial and attribute data into Geoserver
-
How to serve up data from multiple sources like Postgres, Geopackage, SQLite, and shapefiles
-
How to develop back-end server processing to deliver the results of spatial operations. You'll do this with both SQL and CQL
-
Create a frontend web mapping browser, using OpenLayers
